Information about Jimmy Shergill

Since his school days, he wanted to join the Armed Forces.  In 1994, Gulzar was directing 'Maachis' so he went to meet him to get a chance to assist him. Instead, Gulzar offered him a small role in 'Maachis' and that's how his acting journey got started.  Jimmy has done a lot of Punjabi movies and is quite popular in Punjabi industry.  He is very polite and innocent personality in real life.  His paternal aunt, Amrita Sher-Gil, was an eminent Indian painter.  Does Jimmy Shergill smoke?: No  He is an impulsive shopper.  Jimmy rose to fame after his chocolate boy performance in the film Mohabbatein.  After getting encouraged by his cousin Suminder, he joined Roshan Taneja's acting school.  Does Jimmy Shergill drink alcohol?: Yes  Jimmy belongs to a family of landowners and distillers.  He changed the spelling of his surname from 'Shergill' to 'Sheirgill' because the first one was often used on social media.  He is not so much addicted to social media and hardly posts something on it.  He idolizes Shaheed Bhagat Singh.  Until the age of 18, he wore a turban but removed it; as he found it difficult to manage it in the hostel. After becoming cut surd, his family so much disappointed that they didn't talk to him for a year.  In 1989, he met with a very serious accident while riding a bike; a few of his bones got fractured.  He is a very emotional person and cries on very little things.
