Information about Shreyas Iyer

He is an avid animal lover who not only has pets at home but also takes care of the stray dogs around his home.  The same year, he made his first-class cricket debut in the 2014-2015 Ranji Trophy where he scored 809 runs at an average of 50.56.  His initial cricket journey has been documented in the short film titled 'Shreyas Iyer Documentary-A Father's Dream.'  Does Shreyas Iyer smoke?: No  In the midway of IPL 11 in 2018, he replaced Gautam Gambhir as the skipper of 'Delhi Daredevils' after Gambhir stepped down due to his poor batting performance in the initial matches that led to series of loses for the team.  Does Shreyas Iyer drink alcohol?: Not Known  Due to his aggressive batting style, he is often called as the 'Young Viru' i.e. Virender Sehwag.  His favourite superhero is 'Superman.'  Like his parents, he is a jovial person and loves playing pranks.  He made his List A debut for Mumbai in the 2014-2015 Vijay Hazare Trophy where he scored 273 runs at an average of 54.60.  His batting talent was first noticed by the former Indian cricketer and coach Pravin Amre at the Shivaji Park Gymkhana, Mumbai when Shreyas was 12 years old.  Shreyas was born into a middle-class Mangalorean family.
