On 25 May 2001, she, along with her colleagues, was found guilty of publishing an article regarding ratings of High Court judges in terms of various traits and attributes on their site "Wah India". The entire article was based on conclusions drawn from interviewing 50 anonymous senior lawyers. The article was seized and later, Trehan, along with her colleagues, apologised and it was accepted too.
