For a few months, he took his initial training at the Gopal Hockey Academy in Kurali, Punjab  Does Harjeet Singh drink alcohol?: Not Known  In July 2019 he signed for Dutch club HGC in the Hoofdklasse  He was born to a truck driver in Punjab.  Under his captaincy, at the 2016 Men's Hockey Junior World Cup, the Indian Men's Junior Hockey squad went unbeaten throughout the tournament, eventually winning a Gold medal.  Harjeet played for the Uttar Pradesh Wizards and the Delhi Waveriders in the Hockey India League  In 2018, a biopic titled 'Harjeeta' was announced on the inspirational story of Harjeet Singh. Popular Punjabi singer and actor Ammy Virk played the lead role in the biopic.  Does Harjeet Singh smoke?: Not Known  With his stellar performance throughout the tournament, he bagged the 'Jugraj Singh Upcoming Player of the Year' award.  In 2016, Harjeet also got the chance to be featured in the Sultan Azlan Shah Tournament.  At one point, he was about to quit the sport because of his family's financial constraint  Harjeet got the opportunity to garner some experience at the FIH Champions Trophy 2015 in London by filling the shoes of Sardar Singh who was facing a personal controversy and was rested for the tournament.  In 2015, the Delhi Waveriders picked him to play in the Hockey India League (HIL).  Soon, Harjeet Singh was named the captain of the Indian Men's Junior Hockey squad  Harjeet gives the credit behind his success to Patwari Sohan Singh Lal and his coach Amrutpal Singh.  However, his stellar performances in the local league led him to sail through all the odds.  Harjeet Singh is an Indian professional field hockey player who plays as a midfielder for Dutch club HGC.  In 2004, he took up Hockey as a career at the age of eleven.
